The club is very active underground, with caving meets throughout the year, and has a proud history of cave exploration. Membership applications from cavers are welcomed.

The club has a very friendly and active caving section. We organise fortnightly trips throughout the winter and more occasional trips in the summer, when many of the cavers are concentrating on climbing.
Our meets calendar includes basic SRT (single rope technique) trips, horizontal caves (often more suitable for less experienced cavers), and mine exploration.
Both our huts are in popular areas for mine exploration; the welsh hut near disused slate mines, and the Lake District hut in Coniston.
